LaunchLoop keeps recording files, captions and rendering on your PC. Optional AI tools can send text from your recording and prompts to a service, as described below.
What stays on your PC
- Recordings, projects and exports
- Screen text recognition (Windows built-in OCR)
- Captions and transcripts
- Shot timing, Smart Redact, film rendering and music
When LaunchLoop uses the network
- Licence activation. Activating or moving a licence sends your licence key and device information to Dodo Payments. These requests do not upload your recording.
- Caption model. The first time you make captions, the speech model is downloaded. No audio is sent.
- AI writer. Pressing Write (or Let AI direct the edit) sends your brief and the text read off your recording, never video, images or audio. With your own AI key it goes straight to your provider. Otherwise it goes to LaunchLoop's writer, which holds our key on the server and counts your free writes by licence key or a random install id.
- AI assistant (optional). Off until you add your own provider key; then your prompt and edit context go to that provider.
- Links. Opening this website or the download page in your browser.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. We receive your email and order details to deliver and support your licence.
Website analytics
Every visit is counted by Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses or personal identifiers: only the page, referrer, country and device type, in aggregate. Separately, with your permission, the website records a random session ID, pages visited, active viewing time, video plays, referral domain and campaign labels, download requests and checkout clicks. Verified purchases can be linked to that session. Approximate city, region and country come from the hosting provider and may be inaccurate. We do not store raw IP addresses, keystrokes, form contents or session replays in these analytics. Journey data expires after 30 days. Download-request summaries may be sent to our private Telegram chat; copies there follow that chat's retention settings. Declining analytics does not prevent downloads or purchases. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected.
